Budget airline passenger hoped to avoid paying for a return flight — by hiding in the overhead bin

He’s bin up to no good.

No plane ticket, no problem. An enterprising Ryanair passenger shocked fellow flyers by stowing himself in the overhead bin during a flight from Malta to Naples, Italy.

Footage of the bozo’s self-storage challenge is currently taking off, with the stowaway joking that he did it to avoid paying for the return fare.

“How not to pay for the return ticket to Naples. But they caught me…” the human suitcase, who goes by @gaetanino97 on TikTok, captioned the clip.

In it, the diminutive flyer is seen lounging in the luggage locker while yelling “Napoli” (the Italian city’s moniker) at the top of his lungs as onlookers laugh and cheer.

A follow-up clip shows Gaetanino throwing a tantrum at the airport after seemingly missing the flight. In it, he yells across the terminal and even shoves a stanchion.

“Guys, we missed the flight !!!!!” read the caption.

It’s yet unclear on which flight this incident took place, but the Post reached to Ryanair for comment.

The content creator regularly uploads videos of himself performing various disruptive stunts in public, such as loudly banging on a piano at a mall and running through an airport while yelling his head off.

However, many onlookers didn’t find his latest baggage bin gag so humorous.

One commenter on Instagram said they hoped that the powers that be “have noticed and taken action.”

“It is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect towards those who work,” they declared.

Another wrote that the troll should’ve been put on the no-fly list.

Meanwhile, A View From the Wing contributor Gary Leff pointed out that the so-called fare-avoiding stunt didn’t even make sense as the hellion would’ve needed a ticket to board in the first place.

In fact, storing oneself in the overhead could’ve theoretically cost him extra, as Ryanair infamously charges flyers extra to store their bags up top.

Nonetheless, this is far from the first time someone has taken a luggage locker siesta — in other words, they’ve bin there, done that.

In 2024, a passenger flummoxed fellow flyers after she was filmed napping in the storage space on a Southwest flight.

“Southwest does allow you to choose your own seat,” joked one commenter in reference to the budget carrier’s first come first serve seating policy.
