The Milwaukee Bucks could still use another piece, and it's possible they could look at the trade market as a way for them to accomplish that. However, on paper, the Bucks are in a decent position to at least compete in the Eastern Conference next season.
Although they may not be favorites due to several factors, if they make the necessary moves over the next few months, the Bucks should be in a good position come next year.

Sports Illustrated Jackson Caudell recently proposed a deal for the Bucks to do that, sending Kyle Kuzma and much more to the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets in a deal for Michael Porter Jr.

Nets Receive: Kyle Kuzma, Gary Harris, AJ Green, Tyler Smith, and an unprotected 2031 1st round pick swap (via MIL)
Bucks Receive: Michael Porter Jr.
“Milwaukee should be thrilled with this trade. Porter Jr is a huge upgrade over Kuzma and makes the Bucks better. He provides size and shooting to a team that needs both of those things, and this should help Milwaukee keep Giannis around,” he wrote.
As crazy as it might sound, because of who Porter is, despite some not loving his game, it might be tough to justify moving on from AJ Green in a deal for him.
If anything, next season, the Bucks have to get Green more open shots. The same would be said for Porter if that's who they decide to bring in, as he isn't someone who they’ll want to run their offense, and he likely can't even do so.
