Rumors have now started to suggest that the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo will continue their relationship.
Antetokounmpo, arguably the best player in the NBA, has continued to stay loyal in Milwaukee.
From his perspective, there isn't much of a reason to leave.
Sure, the Bucks aren't in the best position regarding some of their assets, but the Eastern Conference is wide open, and if general manager Jon Horst can put together a competent roster around him and Damian Lillard returns healthy at some point during the 2026 campaign, anything could be possible.
Despite that, some have still suggested that the Bucks could move on from him if Antetokounmpo asked out.
In a recent trade proposal from Bleacher Report, they'd move on from him in a three-team deal with the New York Knicks. The deal would give the Bucks a decent haul in return, landing OG Anunoby, Brandon Clarke, GG Jackson, Vince Williams Jr., and six future first-round picks.
“After renegotiating and extending Jaren Jackson Jr. with cap room, Memphis would join the three-way deal with the Knicks and Bucks.
“The Wizards' selection is top-nine protected, otherwise conveying as 2026 and 2027 second-rounders. The 2028 first-round pick from Memphis is lottery protected, but unprotected in 2029. If the Knicks' 2032 first-round pick is in the top five, the Bucks receive New York's 2032 second-rounder instead. Similarly, if the Grizzlies' 2032 first is in the top five, Milwaukee gets the Memphis 2032 second-rounder. The Bucks trigger a first-apron hard cap at a projected $187.9 million by using the Khris Middleton pre-existing trade exception to take in Konchar,” BR wrote.
While this type of trade could make sense for the Bucks, given the amount of picks in return, all of them were either protected or swaps.

From Milwaukee's perspective, they have absolutely no reason to take any deal with protection on it for a player of his status.
That alone would likely make this an instant no from Milwaukee's perspective.
