Former Heat forward claims Michael Jordan could not accomplish this LeBron James feat

There have been plenty of debates regarding the greatest basketball player of all-time. While names like Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson are sometimes mentioned, the two names most frequently brought up are Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

While the masses still lean towards the former Chicago Bulls star, one of James' former teammates with the Miami Heat gives him the nod. Shane Battier appeared on "Pablo Torre Finds Out", where he shared why he believes the four-time champion is the greatest player to play the game.

"I'm always going with LeBron for a simple reason," Former National College Player of the Year Shane Battier stated. "LeBron did something twice that Jordan I don't think could have done once. He won two NBA titles with Shane Battier as a starting power forward. No way Jordan could have done that. As great as Jordan was, LeBron dragged me across the finish line. That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

While Battier has personal reasons for choosing James over Jordan, he is hardly the worst player won a championship starting alongside either star. In addition to being regarded as one of the greatest college basketball players of the past 30 years, he was viewed as one of the premier 3-and-D NBA forwards of his generation.

Furthermore, Battier started 16 of a potential 46 postseason games during his two title runs alongside James -- and did not start a single game during the 2012-13 postseason. He started 30 of 137 regular season games during that span. While greatest of all-time debates are often subjective in nature, his reasoning for choosing the Los Angeles Lakers star seems quite flawed.
