Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo reacts to viral highlight reel

When it comes to developmental journeys in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best success stories. Over a decade into his career now, the two-time MVP is still trying to add new elements to his game. In the midst of an offseason full of trade chatter, Giannis recently took the time to react to footage of him making strides in one of the weaker areas of his skill set.

With his combination of size and speed, Giannis has long been one of the most dominant downhill threats in the league. However, even though teams haven't been able to stop him at the rim, many still harp on the fact that he isn't much of a threat outside the lane. While Giannis has shied away from his three-point shot, he has added a new weapon to his offensive arsenal.

During the 2000s and some of the 2010s, Dirk Nowitzki was one of the NBA's top talents. Standing at seven feet tall with the ability to shoot from anywhere, he was a nightmare for opposing defenses. Of all the go-to moves at his disposal, by far the most lethal was his one-legged fadeaway.

While it isn't to the same degree as Nowitzki's, Giannis has worked on his own version of this move. He typically does such fadeaways in the lane, but it's a solid counter for when defenses wall him off at the rim. As a montage of his Nowitzki impression made the rounds on social media, the Bucks star reacted to it by imploring everyone to always be striving to get better.

It goes without saying how important it is for Giannis to have some form jumper to fall back on. At some point down the road, his athleticism is going to start to fade. When that time comes, he'll have to rely on other facets of his game to still be an impactful player in the later stages of his career.
