Nyheim Hines has found his next NFL home.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hines agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday.

"Former Colts and Bills RB Nyheim Hines, who hasn’t played in the NFL for two seasons due to a knee injury, reached an agreement today with the Chargers, per source," Schefter wrote on X.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported earlier on Monday that Hines had a workout with the Chargers. It likely went well, as Los Angeles wouldn't let him leave without signing a deal.

Hines hasn't played in the NFL since 2022 with the Buffalo Bills. He missed the entire 2023 season after sustaining a leg injury in a jet ski accident.

After being released by the Bills during the 2024 offseason, Hines signed with the Cleveland Browns. However, the veteran never played a game with Cleveland due to the same injury. He was released by the Browns in February.

Now with the Chargers, Hines will look to get his career back on track. During his tenure with the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to the middle of the 2022 season, Hines showcased his electric punt and kick returning ability and was also a solid contributor on the Colts' offense as a receiving back.
