The NBA world is currently locked in on the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers. However, the Milwaukee Bucks have been making waves.
There have been rumors circulating about the future of Superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, with multiple teams reportedly interested in making a run in hopes of acquiring the two-time MVP.
Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report recently proposed a three-team trade that would send Antetokounmpo to the New York Knicks in return for Karl-Anthony Towns.
Knicks receive Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tyler Smith.
Bucks receive: Karl-Anthony Towns and a 2025 No. 36 draft pick from the Nets
Nets receive: Pacôme Dadiet
Antetokounmpo has been linked to the New York Knicks after they were unceremoniously eliminated from the Eastern Conference Finals by the Indiana Pacers, their first since 2000. Antetokounmpo is the piece to help get over the edge.
While the Bucks maintain a competitive edge in the loaded Eastern Conference, they acquired Karl-Anthony Towns to play with a returning Damian Lillard.
Towns is coming off a superb season for the Knicks, one in which he was voted to his fifth all-star game while averaging 24.4 points and 12.8 rebounds, which would help ease the loss of Antetokounmpo.
Although he won't have the same impact and presence on defense, it's clear he's still an impactful scorer, thanks to his ability to space the floor and generate offense through the post.
It's still to be determined if Antetokounmpo requests a trade out of Milwaukee. The two-time MVP has spent his entire career with the organization, helping them win a championship back in 2021.
The Bucks may want more assets in return for a star Antetokounmpo caliber.
For now, the world continues to wait to see what the Greek Freak does this offseason. A potential trade involving Giannis Antetokounmpo would cause a seismic shift throughout the NBA.
