It appears that Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are prepared to part ways after frequently finding themselves in the middle of riveting trade rumors.

According to NBA reporter Evan Sidery, the Bucks and Heat are finishing up a blockbuster multi-team trade centered on Antetokounmpo.

"The Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes will soon be coming to an end with trade negotiations described to me as ‘in the red zone’ with the draft just over 48 hours away,” Sidery wrote Sunday.

“The Bucks and Heat are putting the finishing touches on a blockbuster featuring multiple facilitating teams.”

While it’s unclear which teams would help facilitate a trade involving Antetokounmpo, Sidery’s report indicates that the Bucks have found the clearest possible path to ending the Antetokounmpo era in Milwaukee and starting the rebuilding process five years after capturing their second-ever title.

The ultimate goal for the Bucks is to acquire young, high-upside assets and valuable trade capital to help them eventually build a championship-contending roster. After all, the struggling Eastern Conference is no longer in win-now mode, meaning it’s appropriate for them to begin looking toward the future.

Although it's unfortunate that the end of Antetokounmpo’s tenure with the Bucks was filled with drama and tension, the 10-time All-Star can take solace in knowing he’ll be remembered as one of the best players to ever put on a Milwaukee uniform.
