There's no way to really know if Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to get traded away by the Milwaukee Bucks.
That's especially true while Giannis is out injured, although his absence isn't expected to be too long.
But if Antetokounmpo is moved, there will likely be a lot of teams in on the bidding for one of the best players in the entire NBA.
The Sporting News' Stephen Noh recently ranked Antetokounmpo as the second-most likely star to be traded.
In the process, Noh listed a whopping six most likely destinations for Giannis:
- New York Knicks
- Miami Heat
- Atlanta Hawks
- Detroit Pistons
- Houston Rockets
- San Antonio Spurs

Noh then zeroes in on the Knicks and Heat in his analysis.
"The Knicks have had discussions with the Bucks over the offseason and appear to be Giannis' preferred destination, but they'd have to pull apart a team that just won the NBA Cup and looks like a strong favorite to make the Finals in order to acquire him," Noh writes. "They also can't offer close to the best package. The Hawks might make the most sense. Breakout star Jalen Johnson is from Wisconsin, and Atlanta controls the Pelicans' pick with great odds at becoming No. 1 in this upcoming draft. They seem reticent to part with either of those assets though."
It would be hard to see the Hawks giving up Johnson.
The Knicks definitely don't have the pieces that some of those other teams do.
Obviously, a Giannis combo with Wemby in San Antonio would be astounding. Or with Cade in Detroit.
This is a situation everyone will be watching closely until there's a resolution one way or another.
