The Milwaukee Bucks are listening.
Milwaukee again is willing to trade superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo if the right offer comes along this summer. Antetokounmpo has been dissatisfied with the Bucks' efforts to build another championship team around him, and figures around the NBA expect this to be the summer when the two sides finally separate.
One-third of the league is interested in getting their hands on Antetokounmpo, a 10-time All-Star and a two-time NBA MVP who can sign a $275 million extension with a new team six months after joining one.

Perhaps surprisingly -- definitely intriguingly -- the Boston Celtics are among the teams interested in acquiring Antetokounmpo, in what would be a significant shift for the franchise following its surprising first-round playoff exit to the Philadelphia 76ers.
And if the Bucks want to return to contention sooner rather than later, accepting the Celtics' hypothetical offer for Jaylen Brown would be awfully hard to turn down.
"Brown is the best player the Bucks could receive in an Antetokounmpo, but the draft compensation is relatively sparse," writes Eric Pincus. "This path represents Milwaukee's intent to compete as quickly as possible, rather than a measured retool."
Bleacher Report ranks the Celtics' offer of Brown, Max Shulga, a 2026 first-rounder (27th overall) and a 2027 first-rounder as the third-most attractive that the Bucks could get for Antetokounmpo.
It's true that Milwaukee does not have its own first-rounder in 2027; acquiring one from Boston would help, but Brown is obviously the main attraction here.
"Upcoming changes to the NBA's lottery system may make full rebuilds less attractive to teams—not that it was ever especially appealing to a franchise to bottom out over a sustained period," Pincus wrote. "The larger question would be how quickly Milwaukee can field a viable roster around Brown."
For a Bucks team desperately trying to avoid falling back into the abyss of irrelevance, getting an All-Star in return for Antetokounmpo might matter more than any draft compensation.
