The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense last season struggled to get after the quarterback. Haason Reddick was the big-name signing made to give the defense some pass rush juice, but that didn't eventuate.

Now, as Todd Bowles' team picks itself up off the canvas after missing out on the playoffs, the defense still needs "that" pass rusher to disrupt the offense.

Reddick wasn't the guy last season, so free agency could be where the franchise looks

CBS Sports' Zachary Pereles offers up an interesting name, and that's Joey Bosa.

"Todd Bowles loves to dial up pressure, but he'd love it even more if his team could get pressure when not blitzing," Pereles wrote. "Tampa Bay was 20th in pressure rate when not blitzing in 2025. Enter Bosa, whose 14.6% pressure rate in 2025 was his best since 2022. He also played in 15 games, his most since 2021. Bosa also had a nose for the ball with five forced fumbles."

Bosa a bargain for Bucs

Bosa played the most games in a season since 2021, as part of the Buffalo Bills' defense.

If he were to link up with the Buccaneers, he would bring some much-needed pass rush juice, and yes, he only had 5.0 sacks last season, but he was a disruptor for Buffalo.

The Buccaneers need someone like that.

Reddick didn't work out, so I wonder if the Bucs would want to go the veteran free agent route again, but if they did, they could be getting Bosa, who appears to be having a career resurgence.
