Todd Bowles is shaking up his Buccaneers coaching staff after the team’s brutal collapse led to them missing the playoffs.
Offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard has been fired, multiple reports said Thursday morning, after just one season as the replacement for Liam Coen, who became the Jaguars head coach and led them to an AFC South title.
The Bucs will be looking for their fifth offensive coordinator in five years.

Monken was Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator in 2018.
Grizzard, 35, was Tampa Bay’s passing game coordinator in 2024 before getting promoted.
The Yale product spent seven years with the Dolphins before his Bucs stint, serving as a quality control coach and wide receivers coach.
Bowles confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times on Wednesday that he was returning for a fifth season as Tampa Bay’s head coach after their run of four straight NFC South titles was broken.
After a 6-2 start, the Bucs lost seven of their next eight. While they defeated the Panthers in Week 18 to move both clubs to 8-9, the Falcons’ win in their finale created a three-way tie that resulted in Carolina winning the division.
The Bucs’ offense regressed this season, finishing 21st in yards per game (320.4) and tied for 17th in points per game (22.4). In 2024, the Bucs were third in yards per game (399.5) and fourth in points per game (29.5).
Baker Mayfield’s completion percentage fell from 71.4 percent last year to 63.2 percent this season, and he went from 41 passing touchdowns last season to 26 this season.
Coen had replaced Dave Canales, who left after 2023 to become the Panthers’ head coach. Canales replaced Byron Leftwich, who was fired after the 2022 season.
