Ahead of the official schedule release on Wednesday night, the Cleveland Browns attempted to troll the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it just didn't work.
Like many teams, the Browns do a fun thing to prepare for the schedule release. This year, the Browns decided to compare their opponents to memes.
For the Steelers, Cleveland chose to compare them to a dumpster fire, which is hilarious because the Browns are the actual definition of one.
The Browns, who have never won a Super Bowl in franchise history and haven't won the division since 1989, are notorious for being a dysfunctional mess.
You need not look further than Deshaun Watson and his $230 million contract for an example, but there are countless others over the years, like the infamous jersey fans wear with the endless list of failed quarterbacks.
— Cleveland Browns (@Browns) May 14, 2025Now, nobody is going to say the Steelers aren't doing great themselves over the last bunch of years, and they are definitely in a tough spot when it comes to the quarterback position and Aaron Rodgers.
But, they are still one of the most respected franchises in the NFL and Browns fans would kill to have even a modicum of the success Pittsburgh has over its history.
Safe to say, the Browns should've thought this one through just a bit more, and the internet let them know about it.

— pitt412sports (@PennFear) May 14, 2025"This was tweeted by the same organization who gave Deshaun Watson $230 million guaranteed as well as sending the Texans 3 first rounders for him," one Steelers fan wrote.
"As a Cleveland Browns fan, if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is," a Browns fan said.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Browns have another messy situation on their hands, and not just because they aren't going to be good.
Watson is out for the season and the Browns just got finished drafting two signal-callers in Sheduer Sanders and Dillon Gabriel after they traded for Kenny Pickett and signed Joe Flacco.
One of those rookie quarterbacks, Sanders, is going to garner all the attention, no matter where he lands on the depth chart.
So, the Browns are ripe for dysfunction once again in 2025, which is status quo.
