Browns sign 2 free agents, one from Bills and one from Ravens, in same night

The Cleveland Browns took care of two needs on Tuesday night.

They signed a pair of free agents, one from the Buffalo Bills and another from the Baltimore Ravens, to help the defense and the offense.

Cleveland.com's Mark Kay Cabot reported both signings:

  • Defensive end A.J. Epenesa from the Bills
  • Wide receiver Tylan Wallace from the Ravens

Epenesa is a former second-round pick out of Iowa, with the Bills taking him in the 2020 NFL Draft at the No. 54 overall spot.

He played 91 games in six seasons for Buffalo, recording 24.0 sacks in total.

In 2025, he had a quieter year, getting just 2.5 sacks in 16 games.

His best seasons were 2022-2024, when he had 6.5, 6.5 and 6.0 sacks in those three consecutive seasons.

If the Browns can get six-plus sacks out of Epenesa, this will feel like a smart signing.

Wallace was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens (131 overall) out of Oklahoma State in 2021.

He has played 68 games for the Ravens, totaling 22 catches for 305 yards and two touchdowns.

His best campaign was 2024 with 11 catches for 193 yards and a TD.

Wallace also has 23 tackles as a special teams contributor, which included eight in 2025.

He has also returned kickoffs and punts at different stages in his career.

Both Epenesa and Wallace should have roles for the Browns in 2026, which makes them quality signings to land more than a week into free agency.
