The Cleveland Browns are coming off a disappointing 2025 season, but with a strong defense, some intriguing prospects, and plenty of ammo this offseason, the future of the franchise could be looking up.
The 2025 draft class is a big reason for the optimism, with their star-studded class being matched by only one other team: The New Orleans Saints. Both teams had great 2025 NFL Draft classes, and those players entering year two could help make some NFL history.
According to a report from RMC Sport on Twitter/x, a top French sports 2.7 million followers, the Browns and Saints are set to play in France in 2026 in a game that would make NFL history for the first NFL game played in France.
Browns, Saints to make NFL history with France rumor
"After months of negotiations," RMC Sport shared (translated on Twitter/x), "it's finally official: the first NFL game in France will take place in Paris, at the Stade de France, on October 25, 2026. It will pit the New Orleans Saints against the Cleveland Browns."
This would be some major news for the Browns and the Saints, as not only would it confirm an international game on their 2026 season slate, but it would be the first NFL game ever played in France.
While there's been no official confirmation from the NFL, the Browns, or the Saints about the game, it's a rumor worth paying attention to.

Mark Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com shared an interesting follow-up report. "This is a major French outlet reporting this. The Browns say they haven't heard anything about it yet."
So, while RMC Sport is making this report seem official, the Browns, one of the teams set to play in this Paris game in 2026, hasn't yet been told by the NFL about this game being on their schedule.
A Browns and Saints matchup will be an interesting one next year, as the Saints new-look offense against a strong Browns defense could make for an entertaining matchup.
For now, this is only a rumor, but with a major French outlet reporting on this game, despite the Browns not hearing about such a game, it's a rumor that wouldn't be a surprise if it were true.
