I don't want to say that the Cleveland Browns have some elite wide receiver room right now, but it's definitely better than it was a year ago.
After the moves they made during the offseason, especially in the NFL Draft, Cleveland has to feel that it improved its wide receiver room.
At the same time, that could have an effect on some of the top receivers on the roster last year, even if they aren't great players.
One of those guys is Cedric Tillman, who, respectfully, is just about average. He finished with 270 yards last year on 21 receptions, averaging 12.9 yards per catch.
There was hope that he'd be a nice player in Cleveland, not only because he's 26 years old, but the reality is that there's an expectation he could be traded, with Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reporting that he could be the odd man out.
“With Concepcion, the No. 24 overall pick, and Boston, the No. 39 overall pick, working so much with the starters and Isaiah Bond poised for a breakout year, Cedric Tillman (6-2, 215) could be the odd man out in the corps,” Cabot said. “He’s had a nice spring, but it’s clear he’s taken a back seat to the top four in Jeudy, Bond, Concepcion and Boston, and that Boston (6-4, 215) has surpassed him as the Browns’ big body receiver who excels at the contested catch.”
KC Concepcion, being the player that he's looking to be in the NFL, would be ideal for the Browns.
There's a lot of hype around the young man who was drafted in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, and rightfully so. Now, that doesn't mean he and Tillman can't work together, but the consensus All-American is looking to be a top-two option on the Browns receiving corps, and Tillman could be impacted by that.
