The Cleveland Browns are 3-2 in the regular season through five weeks, and it's thanks in part to the breakout starts from the rookie receivers.
KC Concepcion and especially Denzel Boston have looked incredible to begin the season so far. Their progress has more than opened the door to a Jerry Jeudy trade, which has been floating around in rumors for some time now.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz confirmed Jeudy is a name to watch in trade talks, but he revealed the Browns' reported asking price, which doesn't bode well for a deal getting done.
Browns asking price for Jerry Jeudy trade revealed
"It's pretty well known around the league that Jeudy is available," Schultz said. "But my understanding is Cleveland would like something in the early third-to-fourth range; I'm just not sure they'll be able to get it."
After talking to people around the NFL, I have a few more names I believe are available for trade: https://t.co/jwAQOf8P61
— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) October 13, 2026Cleveland asking for a third-round pick for Jeudy is way too much for a team to give up for someone who hasn't really flashed that much potential lately.
Jeudy has just eight catches for 81 yards in the 2026 season, and he had only 602 receiving yards last season for the Browns despite getting 106 targets.
A down 2025 season for Jeudy, a slow start to 2026, and his contract status, with his $52.5 million contract running through the 2028 NFL season with increasing cap hits from here on out.
The Browns might have a hard time finding a team willing to take on Jeudy, especially at this price tag and the trade cost of a third-round pick.
There are sure to be some teams interested in adding Jeudy, like the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. But a third-round pick is likely too much for Jeudy's services.
Even a fourth-rounder might be a price too steep to pay for someone who isn't as good as they once were. There's a chance Jeudy is dealt, as there's interest from the Browns to trade him, and likely from teams that want to acquire him.
But, as of now, with this asking price from the Browns, a deal might be hard to come by, with their reported asking price for Jeudy being an early third- or fourth-round pick.
