The Los Angeles Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 5, dropping to 2-3 this year following a blocked field goal in overtime.
But one of the most noteworthy moments from the game happened well afterwards, as Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson punched Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb after the game when players were mingling on the field, exchanging jerseys and taking interviews.
The next day, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the NFL has punished Jackson for this postgame incident. Jackson has been suspended for two games without pay for punching Chubb.
Rams' Alaric Jackson suspended by NFL for two games after punching Bills' Bradley Chubb
"NFL suspends Rams Alaric Jackson without pay for two games for punching Bills Bradley Chubb, per a league source," Wilson reported Monday afternoon.
This reported suspension should not come as a big surprise after seeing the video from ESPN of what Jackson did after the game.

Teammates of both players pulled them apart, but for Jackson and the Rams' offensive line, the damage was done.

He's now slated to miss the Week 6 and Week 7 matchups for the Rams, depending on whether an appeal changes his suspension or not.
That means the Rams will be without their starting left tackle for matchups against the Arizona Cardinals and Josh Sweat, and the Las Vegas Raiders and Maxx Crosby in Week 6 and Week 7, respectively.
Taking over for Jackson will be veteran tackle David Quessenberry, who's been in the NFL for a long time and is 36 years old.
While this two-game suspension isn't official, considering how the punch was clearly caught on camera and Jackson's own history, it would not be a surprise if this two-game suspension did come to fruition for Weeks 6 and 7.
