Bronny to LeBron and back again — James family makes NBA history for Lakers

1 hour ago 3

It's hard to imagine this ever happening again in the NBA, at least once LeBron James has retired.

On Thursday night, Bronny James had an assist to his dad, and then LeBron responded with an assist to his son. A historic night indeed.

The Los Angeles Lakers were taking on the Golden State Warriors, who when healthy have some familial fun of their own with brothers Stephen and Seth Curry. But on this night, Steph was out, and the James family got to take center stage.

The son-to-father dime came first. Bronny found his way to a steal in the lane, and LeBron leaked out. The son hit his father with a solid bounce pass to break out, and LeBron threw down a casual two-handed dunk.

LeBron returned the favor in the second half as he and Bronny ran a father-son two-man game.

Dad set a pick, Bronny fed him, then LeBron pitched it back out for son to hit a 3-pointer.

The Lakers went on to win the game, 119-103.

LeBron finished with 26 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 3FG), 8 rebounds and 11 assists to go with two steals and a block.

Bronny had 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3FG), a rebound, three assists and two steals.

It was definitely one of the coolest nights the James family has shared on an NBA court, and the odds that a father and son are ever doing this again seem incredibly slim.
