It's an underratedly funny social media post by the Masters' official account.
They published the shot totals on the practice range from Thursday, seemingly tracking action there both before and after rounds.
And there atop that leaderboard, with daylight between him and everyone else, was Bryson DeChambeau:

DeChambeau would much prefer to be in that position on the real leaderboard, but after a rough first round, that's hard to see happening.
He had a nightmare on the 11th, when he failed to get out of a bunker until his third attempt. To be fair, it's hard to practice that quite as well as DeChambeau can get tuned in to his driver clubhead speed while on the range.
He's known as a tinkerer, a guy who tries things and tests things and wants to figure out the most data-driven way to make stuff work. It isn't inherently bad that DeChambeau takes more practice swings than his competitors.
By the same token, there can come a point of diminishing returns. How many tweaks can he really make in the midst of a tournament? And if he gets tired out while doing it, is it worth it?
The golf world will watch closely to see how DeChambeau performs on Friday. If he struggles again, this practice shots leaderboard won't have proven to have been much help. But if he turns it around, maybe he figured out what he needed to do by putting in so much extra work.
