The Denver Broncos made a major blockbuster trade this offseason after re-signing most of their free agents, landing Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins in a big deal.
Sean Payton and George Paton sent the 30th and 94th overall picks to the Dolphins in exchange for Waddle, making their 62nd overall draft pick in the second round their first pick in the draft.
With that initial draft pick, Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report identified four players the Broncos could target to land an impact player with their lone pick inside the top 100 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Broncos linked to four prospects with 62nd pick
Sobleski identified that the Broncos need three key positions: "Defensive line, tight end, offensive tackle." While he identified players at defensive line and tight end, no offensive tackles made the cut among the four players Sobleski linked to Denver.
Along the defensive line, the Broncs are linked to Alabama's LT Overton and Iowa's Max Llewellyn. Both are edge rushers who can play inside if needed.
Of the two, Overton might be the more appealing option. He's 6-foot-6, 278 pounds, and is only 21 years old. While some prospects are older, Overton is a young player with plenty of upside after his five-sack season for Alabama.
Llewellyn is a Senior like Overton, but he's a bit smaller at 6-foot-5, 263 pounds. They're close enough that the difference is negligible. He had six sacks last year, one more than Overton had.

At tight end, Sobleski linked the Broncos to Eli Stowers and Michael Trigg. Stowers, the combine standout who impressed with the best vertical jump in combine history, is someone who would be a fun addition to the offense.
Even after re-signing three tight ends, and Evan Engram still being on the roster, the Broncos could use an upgrade at the position.
Last year, Stowers, the Vanderbilt tight end, had 769 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 62 receptions. He was a good receiver, but not as good a blocker.
Trigg, the Baylor tight end, was similar. He was a solid receiver who caught 50 passes for 694 yards and six touchdowns, but struggled a bit as a blocker.
If the Broncos, after trading their first and third round picks, were to find a way to bring in one of Overton, Trigg, or Stowers at 62nd overall, it would be a solid pick for the Broncos. Llewellyn is not as good a prospect, but he would be a nice fallback option.
