The Denver Broncos will not have a selection until the latter part of the second round in the 2026 NFL Draft due to the recent trade to acquire Jaylen Waddle, but general manager George Paton has navigated that exact scenario just fine in the past.
Good value can still be found and Paton has done that by taking Nik Bonitto in the second round in 2022 and Marvin Mims Jr. in the second round in 2023. Both of those picks were made near the end of the round. Both of those players have made the Pro Bowl.
If you were to list the biggest positions of need for the Broncos heading into April's draft, there is a good chance you would jot down inside linebacker, tight end and defensive line. The Broncos take care of each of those spots in the recent four-round mock draft put together by Chad Reuter of NFL.com.
Broncos 4-round mock draft selections
Second round, No. 62 overall: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas
The Broncos should prioritize the inside linebacker position with Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad being the top options on the depth chart. The Broncos made re-signing them a top priority this offseason, but put the rest of the position at a bit of a risk when Dre Greenlaw was released.
Hill is not a completely refined linebacker, but his ceiling is high and he could easily work his way into the starting lineup due to his chances to be a true three-down linebacker.
Fourth round, No. 108 overall: Dallen Bentley, TE, Utah
The Broncos should absolutely be interested in adding another tight end through the draft, and a rising mid-round option is Utah's Dallen Bentley.
After catching just three total passes in his first two seasons with the Utes, Bentley grabbed 48 receptions and six touchdowns last year. He could give the Broncos a new option in the red zone for Bo Nix.
Fourth round, No. 111 overall: Chris McClellan, DT, Missouri
Chris McClellan is a project player, but could easily be developed into a long-term starter for a team. The Broncos don't have tremendous depth at this spot after losing John Franklin-Myers in free agency and he would be a welcome addition.
