The Denver Broncos have yet to play a game, regular season or preseason, and haven't even held training camp yet for the upcoming 2026 season.
But, so far, it's looking undeniable that the addition of Jaylen Waddle in a trade with the Miami Dolphins is already looking like a great move.
As Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports, the Broncos' offense is feeling the positive impact of Waddle. Bo Nix has a new elite target, and Davis Webb is excited to utilize the star WR this upcoming season.
Broncos early returns with Jaylen Waddle are exciting
"Jaylen Waddle looks the part," Kosmider writes. "... These are early days, but the Broncos are unmistakably excited about how Waddle can open things up for Bo Nix and the Broncos' attack."
Denver adding Waddle to an already solid WR room was an interesting move, but so far, it's looked like the right decision.
Webb, the new playcaller for the Broncos, simply stated: "He's good," in response to a question about Waddle's impact on the team.

There's not been a single game played, and training camp hasn't even started, as it's over a month away. And yet, the Broncos are already feeling the positive impact of Waddle on the offense.
While these are some very early returns, and the true impact of the trade won't be fully felt until he's actually on the field for Denver, this is a good start.
If things were slow or there wasn't as much buzz, it might not be as exciting. But, since there's already this much optimism and hype, it's hard not to buy into Waddle being the transformation piece the Broncos valued him at in this trade.
