The Denver Broncos have their franchise quarterback.
Bo Nix, entering his second season, looks ready to lead this team for the next decade.
But Denver is still seeking out the best possible backup.
The Broncos have Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger under contract.
And this weekend, they're bringing in Desmond Ridder to throw at rookie minicamp, per Mike Klis of 9News.
Ridder hasn't been signed as a free agent after departing the Raiders.

He was a third-round pick in 2022 by the Falcons, then was traded to the Cardinals, cut and signed by the Raiders.
Ridder started Week 15 in 2024. In the season as a whole, he had 458 yards passing, two TDs and two INTs.
In his career, Ridder has 18 starts, 16 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions thrown.
He might have the most untapped upside of any of the Broncos' backup options, and he's also got starting experience.
If this weekend goes well, don't be surprised to see Ridder stick around the Denver depth chart.
