Broncos' 2026 schedule highlighted by tall task for second straight season

1 hour ago 2

The Denver Broncos will enjoy some well-deserved rest before getting back to work ahead of the 2026 season later this summer and looking at the schedule for next season, they're going to need it.

Despite going 14-3 this past season and earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Broncos ran into many doubters. That will likely be the case again next season when the team looks to get back into position to compete for the Super Bowl.

Looking at the schedule for next season, the Broncos will face both of the teams that just played in Super Bowl LX, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. This past season, the Broncos had to do the same thing, going on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles before battling their division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, twice.

The Broncos went 3-0 in those games. It was their Week 5 win on the road in Philly that got many fans in Broncos Country excited about how good the team could be.

Broncos will face Seahawks and Patriots in 2026

Though we don't know when these matchups will take place, we do know where. The Broncos will get the Seahawks in the friendly confines of Empower Field at Mile High, but they will have to go on the road to face the Patriots. The NFL will fill in the rest of those details when it releases its full schedule later this spring, likely in May.

The Broncos will be tested when they face the Seahawks, who just put on one of the most dominant performances we have ever seen in the Super Bowl. Of course, Broncos fans are familiar with this scenario, having witnessed the Broncos get crushed by Seattle in Super Bowl XLVIII. The two teams played the following season, with the Seahawks beating the Broncos 26-20 in a game that went to overtime.

Seattle has taken four of the last five matchups against the Broncos.

One game that many fans will circle on their calendars immediately will be the one against the Patriots, a rematch of the AFC Championship Game. With nearly every fan within Broncos Country feeling that a healthy Bo Nix would have gotten the Broncos the win in that snowy game, the team will be looking for a big measure of revenge in this one.
