The Las Vegas Raiders hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 of the NFL season. Las Vegas has struggled this season, and entered the game with a 2-5 record.
Las Vegas fought the entire way against Jacksonville, even forcing overtime. Quarterback Geno Smith drove down the field and found his most reliable target, Brock Bowers, for his third score of the day. The Raiders were faced with a decision: attempt the extra point and play for the tie, or go for the two-point conversion and the win. Las Vegas went for two, and didn't get it, but that didn't tarnish Bowers' career day.
The Raiders' star tight end had been sidelined for a month. He suffered a knee injury in Week 1, but played through it the first few weeks of the season. It eventually became too much for him to play through, and Bowers was held away from the field to heal. The tight end missed three games, but used the Week 8 bye week to come back strong in Week 9.
Here is more on how Bowers played in his return to the field.
