Breece Hall's deleted tweets reveal his true feelings about Jets not trading him

2 hours ago 2

The New York Jets pulled off two stunning blockbuster trades at the 2025 NFL trade deadline. They sent Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and Adonai Mitchell to begin their big day.

Next came a Quinnen Williams trade, in which the Dallas Cowboys sent Mazi Smith, a 2027 first and a 2026 second-round pick for the All-Pro defensive tackle.

But, after both of those trades, a potential Breece Hall move became the next domino to fall. However, he wasn't dealt, and his posts, which he deleted, revealed how he felt about not being moved.

Breece Hall's deleted tweets reveal how the Jets' star running back feels about not being traded

After Gardner was traded, Hall posted a GIF on Twitter/X, which seemingly indicated the Jets star was keeping a close eye on trades from the Jets. He then made another post, this time after the Williams trade, which was a queasy emoji.

These two posts were then deleted by Hall as the deadline passed. Both posts were in reaction to the Jets' trade deadline moves. At the time, it was hard to get a grasp of why he made these posts.

But when NFL insider Jordan Schultz posted that Hall wants to be traded, these posts, and their subsequent deletion in the wake of Hall not being traded, make it clear.

Hall made these tweets in reaction to his fellow Jets players being moved. Neither Gardner nor Williams was expected to be dealt, while Hall was often brought up in trade talks.

And yet, Hall wasn't moved, despite clearly wanting to be traded. New York held onto the 24-year-old running back despite the 2025 season being the last one he's under control for.

Hall wanted to be moved, according to Shultz, and his two deleted tweets earlier in the day confirm such a stance. The Jets running back didn't want to stay in New York, and seeing other players get traded who weren't expected to made his non-trade hurt more.

Aaron Glenn and the Jets held onto Hall, despite the running back wishing he were traded. This doesn't just hurt Hall, but it also hurts the Jets. Hall is now frustrated with the front office and will more than likely try to leave the team in free agency.

Even if the Jets try to franchise tag him, Hall isn't in a good place with the Jets, as his wish to be traded wasn't met. Hall wasn't traded, and between Schultz's report and Hall's deleted tweets, he wanted to leave the Jets by the 2025 deadline.
