Nick Aldis, the SmackDown General Manager was left worried for a star after he was attacked in the parking lot. He rushed to the back with the medical team and has now spoken about an update.
Nick Aldis was one of the first to the scene after Cody Rhodes was attacked by Drew McIntyre
Nick Aldis was one of the first to reach Cody Rhodes after the star was attacked on WWE SmackDown. Rhodes was supposed to make his way out to the ring and accompany The Usos when they confronted The Vision to open the show. Unfortunately, it was not to be.
Drew McIntyre attacked the WWE Champion on his bus and left him injured. He was left hanging upside down as the Usos, seeing what happened on camera, ran to him to try and help him and get him medical help. They did not have to wait too long as the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis followed them soon after and came to help the star.
The star was left hurt, and Aldis was very concerned. Afterward, when asked by an interviewer about his update, Aldis said that Cody was hurt and getting checked by the medical team, but he could not say anything beyond that.
Thankfully, Cody Rhodes may not need to be replaced for WWE Survivor Series WarGames
Cody Rhodes getting hurt before the match at WarGames led to fans worrying about whether he would need to be replaced. In the end though, he was not that badly hurt, it appears.
He appeared on the show and cost Bronson Reed his Last Time Is Now tournament match. However, even if he did appear, Rhodes has been known to compete even when he's hurt in the past.
Tonight might have been no exception. Further health updates are awaited on him.
