John Cena had a huge night in his final appearance as an active performer in Boston, MA. He made a massive announcement about a new era that will begin at SNME, which is where his last match will happen.

Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13th needs no build-up and no major card, as there is a singular selling point - it will be John Cena's retirement match. But according to Cena, there is going to be something more unique happening for the first time at SNME.

At Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13th, John Cena revealed that there will be a new era as main roster stars (from RAW and SmackDown) will be having exhibition matches against the future superstars over on NXT. This means we will be seeing RAW/SmackDown vs NXT matches for the first time on SNME.

There has never been anything as such where we have seen outright exhibition matches. No details have been made on how many matches there will be, but a normal SNME card has four to five matches at most.

The fact of the matter is that WWE doesn't need anything else to sell tickets for SNME. This could be the reason why they have decided to go ahead with exhibition matches. There will certainly be opinions online about which superstars should be participating, and you might see a consensus that Je'Von Evans should be one of them.

However, aside from Evans, NXT is filled with bright talent, and the women's division is arguably even more impressive as Shawn Michaels has built up a stacked roster with some of the best women's wrestlers in the world. Lash Legend made her impact on SmackDown, but there are other women who fans will want to see even more.

Either way, this could be the most interesting SNME since it restarted a year ago.
