There is an update on the return of a WWE superstar after a career-threatening injury. Over the years, fans have witnessed careers of their beloved stars cut short due to serious injuries.
Back in August, WWE star Piper Niven suffered a neck injury that has kept her out of action for several months. Initially, there was a concern over the Scottish star's in-ring future and whether she would be able to step back into the squared circle.
However, those fears have been allayed after it was reported that she might be able to return once a treatment plan is in place. Now, a report from Fightful Select has offered more encouragement.
During a Fightful Select Answers Q&A, it was reported that though there was a lot of worry for Niven initially, those closer to the Secret HERvice member didn’t think the injury would permanently end her career.
This update is a hopeful one, and fans will hope Piper Niven could return to action soon. She last competed on the August 22 episode of SmackDown and defeated Charlotte Flair in a singles match.
The win earned the Green Regime a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Flair and Alexa Bliss, but the match was canceled due to Niven’s absence.
Piper Niven made a public appearance amid WWE absence
During her injury hiatus, Piper Niven made a public appearance last month. She was one of the bridesmaids during Steph De Lander's wedding to Mance Warner.
Steph uploaded some photos from the event on X (Twitter), which also featured the Scottish wrestler.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Green has been looking for a temporary replacement for Niven in the Secret HERvice in the last few weeks. However, the Women's U.S. champion noted that she is not looking to replace Niven permanently in the faction.
