Brazil star Vinicius Junior is unrecognizable after chin surgery post World Cup

Brazil’s Vinicius Junior is one of the most recognizable soccer players in the world, especially after the World Cup.

That is, Vini Jr. was recognizable before he got a chin harmonization surgery. Now he looks like a completely different person than who was running down Brazil’s flank during the World Cup just a few weeks ago.

Brazilian news site TMC published an article on Monday that the Real Madrid star underwent a chin harmonization procedure at a clinic in Goiânia, Brazil, which was done by dermatologist 
Dr. Alessandro Alarcão.

The surgery apparently, “uses fillers to sculpt the facial contour”. And in Vini Jr.’s case, he wanted to add more definition to his chin, which had been the subject of scrutiny during the World Cup.

Several photos of Vinicius Jr. have surfaced in the wake of this surgery, and the difference is staggering. One example of this was an Instagram post that Vini Jr.’s ex-girlfriend, Virginia Fonseca, made on Monday that showed her and Vini Jr. (who have clearly reconciled after breaking up before the World Cup) posing together at her new gym.

Instagram user @danilosanfoneirooficial, who appears to be friends with Vinicius Jr., also made an Instagram post on Monday that showed a side profile of Vini Jr. while he was signing a Real Madrid jersey. Those who have followed Vini Jr.’s career will be able to tell just how different he looks after the chin procedure.

Perhaps Vini Jr. has had this facial reconstruction surgery in the works for some time, or perhaps he decided to do it on a whim after Brazil’s World Cup exit. Regardless, the hope is that he’s happy with this new look.

And given by how confident he looks in the photos, it appears that Vini Jr. is all smiles with his new chin.
