The Atlanta Braves aren't going to be at full strength on Tuesday night, but they will get a big piece back.
Braves ace Spencer Strider has made one start this season, but quickly suffered a setback and went back on the Injured List. Atlanta activated Strider off the Injured List on Monday and he's set to take the mound on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals.
The Braves today reinstated RHP Spencer Strider from the injured list," the team shared on Monday.
In Strider's first start of the season, he pitched five innings against the Toronto Blue Jays and allowed two earned runs. Now, he will get a shot against the Nationals. The Braves had a rough start to the 2025 season, but they have turned things around and now have a 24-23 record. The return of Strider is just another step in the right direction and it won't be the last one.

Outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. has been working his way back to the Braves. He has appeared in four games at the minor league level and has two homers and four base hits overall in nine at-bats. The Braves have the potential to be one of the best teams in the National League when healthy. Fans haven't gotten a good look at this team health-wise over the last two years. The team is going to start to take a step in that direction on Tuesday.
It's hard not to be excited about Strider. When he was last fully healthy in 2023 he racked up 20 wins and a 3.86 ERA in 32 starts. The Braves are trending in the right direction.
