The Atlanta Braves appear set to be sellers as the Major League Baseball trade deadline quickly approaches.
With a 42-53 record, the Braves are over a dozen games out of the lead for their division, and nearly ten games away from the third Wild Card playoff spot. The trade deadline is just over two weeks away, and with Atlanta far behind in the standings, the team is reportedly looking to shop multiple veterans.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported that Braves players Marcell Ozuna and reliever Raisel Iglesias will reportedly be available at the trade deadline, along with a "few others".
"Atlanta are making DH Marcell Ozuna, reliever Raisel Iglesias and a few others available at the deadline, but they have no intention to trade any player under a multi-year contract, at least not until this winter," Nightengale wrote. "Ozuna has 10-and-5 rights so he can reject any deal."
The Braves, looking not to trade anyone on a multi-year contract, prove one thing: that this may not be their season, but that they have no intention of trading away their star players and rebuilding. Though Ozuna will be available, the three-time All-Star has the right to block any trade he does not like.

It's unclear which other players the Braves may be looking to trade away this season, as some of the players on expiring contracts are not set to become free agents. One thing is for sure, though, and that's how Atlanta will be active as the trade deadline approaches.
