The Atlanta Braves fell short in the postseason, losing three games to one in the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This offseason should be an interesting one for the NL East club, as the front office may need to build a stronger roster around Ronald Acuna Jr., Matt Olson, and Chris Sale.

One player the Braves could consider trading is second baseman Ozzie Albies, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter wrote.

"Albies has spent his entire 10-year career with the Braves, tallying 25.7 WAR while earning four All-Star selections and winning two Silver Slugger awards.

"The surface-level power production was there once again, but he has posted a middling 88 OPS+ and .299 on-base percentage in 1,350 plate appearances over the last two years, and the Braves could be ready to move on as part of a larger retooling," Reuter wrote.

Albies will be a free agent after the 2027 season. He helped the Braves win the 2021 World Series and is a fan favorite in Atlanta.

He hit 33 home runs with a .849 OPS in an All-Star campaign in 2023, but his offensive production has fallen off since.

Still, would the Braves consider trading him with just one year and $7 million remaining on his contract? Albies signed an extremely team-friendly seven-year, $35 million contract in 2019.

Atlanta could hope for a bounceback year from the 29-year-old, though he still managed 22 homers and played all 162 regular-season games.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Brandon Lowe are both unrestricted free agents this winter, but each player would add significant money to Atlanta's payroll.
