NHL fans on social media reacted to Brady and Matthew Tkachuk’s new podcast announcement. The brothers are launching their own show, titled “Wingmen,” which was revealed on Wednesday.

Although the pair were approached about the idea earlier, right before the playoffs, they put it on hold since both were still competing in the postseason. The first episode drops Thursday, with new episodes releasing weekly on Wednesday throughout the NHL season.

Here's how fans on X (formerly called Twitter) reacted to the Tkachuk brothers' new podcast. One tweeted:

"They really wanna be the Kelce brothers so bad."

@BarDown they really wanna be the kelce brothers so bad

Another chimed in:

"What talent would that be… bad mouthing and bullying everyone. Karma payback for their shenanigans in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Hockey doesn’t need these clowns."

Here are some of the other top reactions on X:

"Will Mathew keep his gloves on for the show and hit his brother from behind?" a third fan wrote. "Can’t wait for the episode after their Olympics collapse," one X user wrote. "Makes sense since neither of them can stay healthy enough to actually play hockey," another opined. "Pretty stupid to have those two when the only people who will listen are panther or senator fans," another chimed in.

Matthew Tkachuk shared his thoughts about the "Wingman" podcast

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Matthew Tkachuk opened up about launching the “Wingmen” podcast with his brother Brady. Expressing his excitement for the show, Matthew said (via NHL):

“For us it’s super exciting. We’re just super excited. [Brady and I] FaceTime pretty much daily or weekly, now we’re getting paid to do it once a week, are you kidding me? So it’s pretty exciting and I’m just super excited to grow the game."

Notably, the podcast is produced by Wave Sports and Entertainment, the company behind NFL stars the Kelce brothers' "New Heights" pod.

Brady and Matthew Tkachuk's podcast promises unfiltered hockey insights and guest appearances, making the Tkachuk brothers the first active NHL players to host their own talk show.
