Paul George hasn't played a single game for the Boston Celtics yet, but he's already popped up on an unfavorable list as the result of his contract.

Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report recently named George as one of the most overpaid forwards in the entire NBA, citing his declining availability and production as main reasons for his inclusion on the list.

George has played over 60 games just once in the last seven seasons, but he still has two years and over $110 remaining on his current contract.

"George played 37 games last year and 41 the season before. He's topped 56 just once since 2018-19 and is entering his 17th NBA season. You get it: The trend line here, both in terms of ability and availability, is headed down," Hughes wrote.

"That's not to say George is without value. He's still a quality starter who impacts games with his three-point shooting, off-ball defense and accomplished passing at a forward spot. But the volume of those contributions is almost guaranteed to fall short of justifying his salary."
