He is also an experienced baseball writer with over six years of articles between multiple outlets, most notably FanSided's CubbiesCrib. Whether it's taking in a baseball game, a new season of Futurama or Castlevania: Nocturne, or playing the latest From Software title, he is always finding ways to show his fandom. When it comes to gaming and anything that takes inspiration from it, he is deeply opinionated on what's going on. Outside of entertainment, he's a graduate of Eureka College with a Bachelor's in Communication where he honed his craft as a writer. Between The IV Leader at Illinois Valley Community College and The Pegasus at Eureka, he spent the majority of his college career publishing articles on everything from politics to campus happenings and, of course, entertainment for the student body. Those principles he learned covering the 2020 election, Palestine, and so much more are brought here to Collider, where he has gleefully written on everything from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes to Nathan Lane baby-birding sewer boys.

Fox's Animation Domination slate is back for another year, but this time, the stove at Bob's Burgers remainscold. Bob Belcher's restaurant has opened consistently with the start of each new television season since Loren Bouchard's acclaimed adult animated comedy debuted, yet this year is different. Bob and his family will join fellow mainstays of the network, Family Guy and American Dad, in premiering at midseason this time around, with Joel McHale's Animal Control taking up their usual time slot after The Simpsons. While there still isn't an exact premiere date for Season 17, Hulu will tide fans over for the holidays at least with a new exclusive release featuring the Belchers.
Back at San Diego Comic-Con, a new short titled "On the Fort Day of Christmas" was unveiled, set to debut on the streamer over the holiday season. Bob's Burgers has long been known for its excellent holiday episodes, and it hasn't missed Christmas since it began regularly ringing in the season with Season 3's "Bob Rest Ye Merry Gentle-Mannequins," so the special release will look to keep the streak going, even if Season 17 won't be airing in time to celebrate. It'll revolve around the Belcher children, Gene (Eugene Mirman), Tina (Dan Mintz), and Louise (Kristen Schaal), as they use the rare opportunity of a record-breaking snowstorm to build the snow fort to end all snow forts. Following an appearance by Bouchard at New York Comic Con, the wait for wintry fun won't be much longer, either.
Bouchard appeared on the main stage alongside Schaal, Mirman, Mintz, H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, and Larry Murphy to reflect on 16 seasons of Bob's Burgers and preview what's to come for the Belcher family, including their latest Christmas spectacular. During the panel, it was announced that "On the Fort Day of Christmas" will debut less than two months from now, on December 7, only on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Along with the release date, an official sneak peek from the short was unveiled, teasing some chaotic winter fun with the kids as they prepare for their monumental snowy construction. Expect humor and heart aplenty with a premise that takes a classic kid's winter activity to an extreme.

Membership Confirmed Your Fandom Is…
Four of the largest communities on the planet, and four completely different reasons to belong to one. Here is yours, what it would give you, and the argument you would be having within a week.
Harry Potter
You belong to the fandom that is really about comfort. Hogwarts works on people because it is a place rather than a plot, and the pull is not the wizard war so much as the corridors, the food, the weather and the sense that somebody is expecting you.
- You are drawn to belonging, which is why this fandom sorted itself into houses within about five minutes and has never stopped.
- This is the most social of the four, and the one most likely to know which type every single person in your life would be.
- The books are built to be reread rather than analysed, and rereading is exactly what you do with things you love.
- The new HBO series is bringing the whole thing back one book at a time, which means the arguments are about to start all over again.
Lord of the Rings
You belong to the deepest fandom on this list, the one where somebody has always read further than you and is quietly delighted to say so. Middle-earth rewards patience more than any other world in popular culture.
- You like the sense that the story you are reading is only the visible part of something enormous, which is precisely how Tolkien built it.
- This fandom takes adaptation seriously to a degree that other fandoms find slightly alarming, and it has good reasons for that.
- Your favourite thing about the books is probably the bit that is not action at all, which is the walking, the songs and the long goodbyes.
- Nobody here thinks heroism belongs to the powerful, and the whole story exists to make that argument.
Star Wars
You belong to the loudest and largest tent of the four, the one where three generations are all watching the same thing and none of them agree about any of it. That disagreement is not a flaw in this fandom, it is the main activity.
- You want something you can share with absolutely everybody, from a six year old to a grandparent, and this is the only one on the list that really does that.
- Nobody argues like Star Wars fans argue, and the argument has been running since roughly 1980 with no sign of resolution.
- The pull here is sensory before it is narrative, since it is the sound design, the score and the look of a used and dented galaxy.
- You would be first in the queue, in costume, with strong opinions and a genuinely good time.
Star Trek
You belong to the thinking fandom, the one that turns up for the argument rather than the explosion. Trek has always been a series of ethical problems in space, and the people who love it love being asked what they would have done.
- You are an optimist in a way that is currently unfashionable, and this is the only major franchise still willing to say the future might be better.
- The best episodes are the ones where nobody fires anything, which is a sentence that makes perfect sense to this fandom and to nobody else.
- Starfleet Academy brought the franchise back to a classroom in 2026, which is appropriate, because Trek has always been a bit of a seminar.
- You would want the conversation afterwards more than the episode itself, and here you will always find somebody willing to have it.

'Bob's Burgers' Is Remaining Open at Fox for the Foreseeable Future
Bob's Burgers got off to a sizzling start when it premiered in 2011 to an impressive audience of 9.39 million viewers, and it hasn't slowed down since then. The Belcher clan now has a pair of Emmys to their name and a delightful musical comedy movie to go with them, proving their staying power on par with their fellow long-running Animation Domination cohorts. It's fitting, then, that the beloved series joined The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad in earning a four-season renewal last year, assuring Bob's buns are safe at least through the 2028-29 season. Bouchard has even considered another movie, but it'll likely be some time before the family gets another shot at the big screen.
Bob's Burgers' new holiday special "On the Fort Day of Christmas" premieres exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. on December 7. Check out the new sneak peek in the player above and stay tuned here at Collider for more coverage throughout the rest of NYCC.
