Bo Nix was instantly surrounded by love after he suffered a season-ending ankle injury during the Denver Broncos 33-20 divisional overtime win against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, and his wife, Izzy Nix, captured the emotional moment on camera.
In a shocking turn of events, Bo fractured a bone in his right ankle just three plays before the team's game-winning field goal. Backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham will now be promoted to the QB1 slot following Nix's injury and will start in the AFC Championship next weekend.
Shortly after Bo was sidelined for the remainder of the season, he was surrounded by dad, Davis Webb, backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, and coaches.
His wife, Izzy, captured the emotional behind-the-scenes moment and shared it to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan. 19.
"I snuck this picture because I wanted to remember this moment forever. The joy, followed by the heartbreak, followed by watching each teammate and coach come to this little corner and sit by Bo's side," the NFL WAG captioned the post. She included a photo of Bo sitting on the floor in the hallway after the injury, surrounded by Broncos staff.
"God could have placed us anywhere, and I'm so grateful He chose Denver. He is the perfect Author of BO's story and we cannot wait to see what HE has in store for this team," she continued. "We'll be on the front row, cheering the loudest."

Fans were quick to react to the emotional behind-the scenes moment, with one writing on X, "I know this is not life or death and god has great plans ahead for Bo, but man, this one stings."
"Bo looks heartbroken," a second wrote.
"What a beautiful message!!" a third said.
"Oh we winning this thing for Bo, although this picture is sad it gets me so amped up," another added.
Bo now faces a long road to recovery, and the Broncos will be forced to move on without their QB1 leading the team to its Super Bowl quest.
"He's schedule to have surgery Tuesday of this week, which will put him out the rest of the season," Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton confirmed to reporters this week.
"He’s such a strong, faith-based guy," Payton continued. "He’s sitting in the hallway with his family and coming over and we’re all talking to him. He knows that God’s got a plan for him and he said he had (a broken ankle) in high school and then he said he had one at Auburn."
"And I said I didn’t realize that. I said if I had known that I wouldn’t have drafted you," he added.
