The Denver Broncos are holding training camp, and the offense is getting a chance to go up against arguably the best defense in football every day.
It wouldn't be a surprise for the defense to thrive, and during Tuesday, August 18's practice, that's exactly what happened on one play when Bo Nix got sacked. After that sack, things unraveled a bit.
According to Zac Stevens of DNVR Broncos, Nix got a fight started when he pulled on Nik Bonitto's leg at the bottom of a pile, which sparked a fight.
Bo Nix gets into training camp fight with Nik Bonitto
"First real fight of training camp. HUGE pile on the ground. Bo Nix (angry from getting sacked and taken to the ground earlier) grabbed Nik Bonitto's leg and pulled him off the pile," Stevens reports. "Nik then got very angry and was held back by multiple teammates."
The Broncos' most important player this upcoming season is Nix, and Bonitto might arguably be their second-most important player, outside of Jaylen Waddle and Patrick Surtain II.
To see both of those players get into it during practice is a bit of a surprise. The franchise QB and the franchise edge rusher had a bit of a dust-up at training camp.

Fights happen all of the time during training camp, as players are fighting for their NFL jobs, and practices can get frustrating. It's just a bit of a surprise that this fight was between Nix and Bonitto, two premier players on the Denver roster.
But Broncos fans should not have any concerns about this fight. Even though it was two key players, Nix and Bonitto, it's just a practice scuffle, and not a big one either.
It's football, and these things will happen. Sure, it might be a little more intriguing with it being these two players, but practice fights are, for the most part, nothing-burgers.
This will likely be forgotten as just a funny story from training camp, as there likely isn't any real reason to be concerned about Nix and Bonitto after this training camp fight.
