The Toronto Blue Jays must continue to pinch themselves at how well the Vladimir Guerrero Jr. contract has worked out so far.
A $500 million extension had to be an intimidating deal to dish out, no matter the talent level and commitment of the recipient.
But the 2025 season, just the first year of the deal, has already proven why Vladdy was worth it.
He had a strong regular season in helping lead the Blue Jays to the AL East title, and now in the postseason, he's making history.
Guerrero has now done something no one else has ever done, with this stat via Just Baseball:
"(Guerrero) is only player in MLB history with more than 25 hits and 15+ RBI in a single postseason."
That'll work.

Of course, the longer postseason in the modern era means that players from the eras of Ruth and Mantle would've never had a shot at these numbers.
But there have been a lot of epic playoff performances in recent years, too. And none have been as consistently excellent as what Guerrero is doing right now.
He hit his eighth homer of the playoffs on Wednesday night, the second of back-to-back with Davis Schneider to start the game.
Eight homers is tied for the second-most in postseason history, besides just the 10 that Randy Arozarena hit in 2020.
Guerrero will try to help the Blue Jays close out this 3-2 lead with Game 6 on Friday in Toronto, and Game 7 on Saturday if necessary.
At this rate, it's safe to expect him to do something exceptional again.
