Blue Jays predicted to land $401 million "Golden Goose", would replace World Series hero Bo Bichette

The Toronto Blue Jays have shown they’re all-in this offseason after coming off a seven-game World Series loss; they’ve brought in multiple big-name pitchers, and now, it’s time to bring in a hitter.

According to Just Baseball’s Ethan Hyatt, the Jays will land THE free agent of the offseason: Kyle Tucker.

“The Blue Jays have shown that they’re going all-in this offseason, already agreeing to contracts with Dylan Cease, Cody Ponce, and Tyler Rogers, who are all pitchers – they’re still looking for a bat to add to their already potent offense, and Tucker fits the profile perfectly…Kyle Tucker is the golden goose of this offseason, and the Jays are one of the only teams that have a serious chance to bring in his services,” Hyatt wrote.

This past season, Tucker slashed .266/.377/.464/.841 with 25 doubles, 22 home runs, 73 RBI, and 25 stolen bases in 136 games played. He’s a five-tool player and would be a major defensive upgrade.

However, this move does come with a loss. According to Hyatt, the Blue Jays would lose their World Series hero, Bo Bichette, in the process to a team they’d definitely rather not: the New York Yankees

If this were to happen, it still would be a big win for Toronto. They’d make up for Bichette’s offense, and definitely be upgrading their defense, albeit in a different position. If this is the price to get Tucker, they may as well pay it.
