It's that time of year when MLB teams start to really align what their organizational rosters are going to look like.
For the Toronto Blue Jays, that meant releasing five players who they don't see as a part of their future.
MLB.com's Thomas Hall shared this list of five cut players on Wednesday:
None were necessarily expected to have major league futures, barring changes of fortune.
The Blue Jays simply decided they'd rather develop other players instead of these guys.

Palmegiani and Santos have both made it to Double-A, but they didn't necessarily look like they'd climb higher.
Bonds has been a relief pitcher that hasn't made it past High-A.
Wetzel can play all the outfield spots but also hasn't climbed past High-A.
Deschamps did play at Double-A last year for a 13-game stretch, but he batted just .094. His minor league hitting stats at almost every stop so far suggest the bat will stop the catcher from going much further.
It's possible a few of these guys will latch on in other organizations, but for now, they head to free agency, no longer employees of the Blue Jays.
