The Toronto Blue Jays are 13-13 to start the year, but could be getting more out of their star player, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. They could make a change to his spot in the lineup to get the most out of him.
Guerreo has a .278/.377/.402 slash line so far this season. While he is not playing badly, he has just two home runs. FanSided's Olly Sankar suggested that the Blue Jays move Guerrero from second in the lineup to third.
"Over the course of his career, Guerrero has an OPS of .911 when batting third, compared to a .768 batting second," wrote Sankar. "Additionally he averages a home run every 7.2 games when batting second, and every one every 4.3 games when batting third."
Guerrero recently signed a $500 million extension that will keep him in Toronto for, likely, the rest of his career. However, he is going through a home run drought right now. The Blue Jays' offense could hit a different gear if Guerrero starts hitting home runs at the rate fans are used to seeing him at.
Guerrero hit 27 of his 30 home runs from the third spot in the lineup last season. He also had a 1.007 OPS. He had just a .700 OPS from the No.2 spot in the lineup. This season, Anthony Santander has hold of the third spot in the lineup.

Swapping Guerrero and Santander's spots in the lineup does not seem like a move that would drastically change the Blue Jays' offense. However, if it helps Guerrero start to hit more home runs, then it would be worth it.
