Sometimes, you try to figure out who knows who.
Toronto Blue Jays minor league pitcher Chad Dallas got a random social media shoutout on Tuesday from MLB Network's Jon Morosi, totally out of the blue.
Here's what Morosi posted:
Credit to RHP Chad Dallas and the @BlueJays player development staff for the progress he has made since returning from Tommy John surgery.
Dallas, 25, has a 1.35 ERA through 13-1/3 innings. As he builds up, he could be an option to start at the @MLB level later this season.

It's certainly one of those things that feels like a, "Hey Jon, could you post about our guy Chad? Thanks!"
There are probably Blue Jays fans who have never heard of, or barely know about, Chad Dallas.
Yet there he is, getting a notable shoutout.
Is he worth knowing? The stats sure suggest so.
It's also never a straight line for a pitcher coming back from Tommy John surgery, so it's positive in general for the Blue Jays to see that Dallas is pitching well.
He was sharp in his most recent start last Friday in Rochester pitching for the Triple-A Buffalo Bison.
Dallas' fastball sat about 91 MPH but it touched 93. He really excelled at making the Rochester hitters look bad on his breaking pitches.
He threw just three innings in that game, and the Blue Jays will likely be careful with Dallas going forward coming off the injury, but if he keeps getting guys out and inducing whiffs, he'll have a chance to earn a promotion at some point.
