Some Toronto Blue Jays fans are getting fed up with Jeff Hoffman.
In fact, some are taking to social media to call on the Blue Jays to get rid of Hoffman entirely from the roster.
Like this guy:
There’s no sugar coating it, this is simply a bad pitcher who should not be on the team pic.twitter.com/oVHjrlz2ON

Should the Blue Jays trade or release Jeff Hoffman?
No, the Blue Jays shouldn't get rid of Hoffman.
Sure, they've got to ride out this wave, and maybe he won't be their closer again.
He's still a good relief pitcher with really good stuff.
"I'm gonna get called a nerd for saying this but if the Jays hypothetically cut Hoffman there would be 29 teams lining up to try to sign him for the league min," wrote Jon Becker on X. "Yes he has a 6.26 ERA and has looked so out of whack at times, but: 2.99 FIP 3.10 xERA 36% K% .492(!!!) BABIP."
Every one of Hoffman's numbers points to a guy who has been immensely unlucky.
He's still punching hitters out at a great clip, but half the time the ball gets put in play, it's a hit. That's absurd.
Toronto doesn't have a good enough roster, or good enough bullpen depth, to even think about moving on from Hoffman.
Their front office should know all this, of course. But just in case they don't, they ought to look at those numbers. They say that Hoffman has to be kept.
