Birmingham Stallions' WR depth chart might be better than Miami Dolphins

1 hour ago 2

The Birmingham Stallions play in the United Football League, which is a spring professional football competition featuring some former NFL players and also plenty of guys trying to prove they might deserve a chance in the National Football League.

Generally, that will mean that a UFL roster isn't close in caliber to an NFL roster. But if you quint, the Stallions' WR depth chart rivals the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins' wideout room went from including both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to now having neither of them, and it's not a pretty receiver situation for Miami.

And while you can make an argument both ways, just the fact that there's an argument in favor of a UFL wide receiver group over the Dolphins' depth chart isn't a good sign for Miami.

The Dolphins have Malik Washington, who has shown promise.

Beyond him, it's Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert, Terrace Marshall Jr., Theo Wease Jr. and Tahj Washington.

The Stallions have Deon Cain, who spent time in the NFL with the Colts and Steelers and led the UFL in receiving last season. They have the explosive Laviska Shenault and John Ross. They also have former Clemson star Justyn Ross.

Then there's Jaydon Mickens and Daewood Davis, who was All-UFL in 2024 before an injury-plagued 2025 ruined his training camp chances with the Carolina Panthers.

This is just an amusing exercise, not an intense argument, but it does prove the point that Miami is in need of some serious WR upgrades.
