The Buffalo Bills wanted to add at least one wide receiver in the 2026 NFL Draft, and they did that in the fourth round.

With pick 125, they snagged Skyler Bell out of UConn.

It has the potential to be a really high-quality selection, and it might not take long to see that.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote in a new article on Thursday that Bell has a chance to see the field early on in his NFL tenure.

"Multiple scouts see fourth-round receiver Skyler Bell (UConn) contributing right away," Fowler writes. "He has polish to his game and tested well predraft. There was an outside chance he would go in the third round but was appropriately picked in the fourth."

Bell wouldn't likely take away action from Khalil Shakir in the slot.

Instead, he'd potentially eat into the snaps of outside wideouts like Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer, both of whom were their own levels of disappointing in 2025.

On paper, Bell has the talent to be really good.

"Josh Allen is going to love Skyler Bell," ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. said during the broadcast of the draft.

In his final year with the Huskies, Bell had 101 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns. He made difficult, contested catches as if they were easy.

The Bills are going to play whoever gives them the best chance to win. After a year filled with WR inconsistencies, don't expect them to hold Bell back if he seems ready to do just that.
