The Buffalo Bills were quiet for more than 24 hours after their Bradley Chubb signing, but they weren't done with free agency yet.
On Thursday night, the Bills added a Super Bowl champion safety to improve their secondary after the departures of Taylor Rapp, Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson.
The new guy is C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Gardner-Johnson is coming to the Bills on a one-year contract worth $6 million.
Gardner-Johnson is a Super Bowl champion who has already played for five different NFL teams.

He entered the league as a fourth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Florida.
He spent his first three seasons with the Saints, including a three-INT campaign in 2021.
Gardner-Johnson then went to the Eagles in 2022 and picked off six passes.
He played just three games in 2023 for the Detroit Lions due to injury.
It was back to Philly for 2024 with six interceptions and a Super Bowl ring.
He began the 2025 season with the Chicago Bears and finished it with the Houston Texans. He made a combined two interceptions and 66 tackles in 13 games between those two teams.
Gardner-Johnson is known for getting pretty chippy on the field, but he's also still a talented playmaker at 28 years old.
The Bills will likely get a gritty guy who knows how to win, a solid addition.
