Bills kick returner Ray Davis gave himself an amazing birthday present during Thursday’s night’s game against the Texans in Houston.
Late in the second quarter, Davis, who turned 26 on Thursday, took a kickoff return to the house for a 97-yard touchdown.
After juking out Houston defenders with a spin move at the 30-yard line, Davis was able to run the ball into the end zone practically unscathed.
The return from Davis — his first touchdown of the season — gave the Bills a 16-13 lead, which they eventually squandered with the Texans scoring just seconds before halftime.
Coming into the night, Davis had 11 returns for 337 yards in 2025.
As for the rest of the team, Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a rather quiet first half, throwing for 106 yards with an interception while completing 12-of-16 passes.
Running back James Cook III had the lone touchdown on offense for Buffalo, rushing 45 yards into the end zone early in the first quarter.

APThe Bills came into the Week 12 matchup with a 7-3 record, sitting in second place in the AFC East behind the Patriots.
Buffalo currently is in an AFC wild-card spot, and the Texans, who held a 5-5 record before Thursday’s matchup, sit just outside, with Houston down both quarterback C.J. Stroud and running back Joe Mixon.
Ray Davis returns a kickoff for a touchdown against the Texans during the second quarter at NRG Stadium. Troy Taormina-Imagn ImagesStroud, 24, has missed three straight games after suffering a concussion in Week 9, with backup quarterback Davis Mills going 2-0 in his absence.
In his first start in nearly three seasons earlier this month, Mills helped head the Texans to a comeback win over the Jaguars, finishing the game with 292 passing yards and two touchdowns.

“I think our team had a really great week of practice. [Offensive coordinator Nick] Caley put together a great offensive game plan, along with the other offensive coaches, and we were able to go out there today and execute,” Mills told reporters on following the game
