The Buffalo Bills have a major need at linebacker.
They also have a chance to sign one of Josh Allen's college teammates to help solve it.
Logan Wilson wasn't expected to be a free agent this offseason. But before the trade deadline, he was sent from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Dallas Cowboys. And with the Cowboys, Wilson got himself benched in less than two months.
So no, he doesn't hit free agency with a lot of momentum. But he's got a solid NFL track record.
And ESPN's Jeremy Fowler suggested on X on Friday that the Bills are one of two logical landing spots for Wilson, along with the Colts.
Wilson, 29, was originally a third-round pick by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Wyoming.
His final Dallas stats were seven games, 24 tackles and one forced fumble.
He had played his first 76 NFL games for the Bengals, for whom he had 541 tackles.

The Bills shouldn't have a ton of competition here, and they likely wouldn't have to pay Wilson a ton of compensation, either.
It seems like Wilson will have to seek out a prove-it deal that can potentially get him paid more in a year's time.
The Bills would be a comfortable place for him to do it. There's opportunity, and there's a college friend. That could work nicely for both Wilson and Buffalo.
